Tour Description

Goodbye to Edinburgh's most famous street...
Our day begins as we say goodbye to the Royal Mile, arguably Edinburgh's most famous street. Recently used as a filming location for the Avengers!
Journey back in time at Doune Castle...
We will journey north to Doune Castle, you'll have time to tour the castle which you may recognise from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Game of Thrones and Outlander. In Outlander, it is renamed Castle Leoch, home of the Mackenzie Clan.
Learn about the Massacre of Glen Coe...
Our journey continues north-west as we make our way deeper into the Scottish Highlands towards Glen Coe. For over 70 years filmmakers have been attracted to the incredible landscape and light that Glen Coe offers. Iconic Scottish films such as Highlands, Rob Roy and Braveheart have all utilised this impressive location. In 2003 Harry Potter arrived in the Glen and Hagrid’s hut was built, along with sets for various other key scenes in the film. You might also remember Glen Coe from the opening credits of Outlander.
Imagine you're in a fairytale at Inveraray Castle...
We will then visit Inveraray, home of the fairy-tale-like Inveraray Castle. It was used in a Christmas Special episode of Downton Abbey.
The bonnie bonnie banks of Loch Lomond...
Before returning back to Edinburgh, we will also make a short stop by the banks of Loch Lomond, at Luss - which you may recognise from Take the High Road.
